Sooo when 5 colours was a massive thing, always played on the radio etc and the Mcfly hype was real - i wasn't really a fan 😂 i remember my step sister having the ROTTF album and i was like nah. Then my Dad took us to Summer Excess (a family festival in my local area) Mcfly were there and they were the highlight of the entire gig for me. I think I was about 7, and I honestly never looked back. Mcfly have been EVERYTHING to me ever since 🙌❤

My parents bought me ROTTF and a sony walkman for my 10th birthday! I remember seeing the music video for 5 colours on tv a lot and loving it, I guess they picked up on that 😂

Went to Scotland with my family and my grandparents in 2005. An old friend of my grandmother used to rent out this apartment for tourists and we stayed there for 2 weeks that summer. While there, my sister watched some music videos on TV and one day she told me to check out this video. Turned out to be the I’ll be ok music video. I was hooked right away! Ended up buying the ROTFF album while we were there among other things. I think my sister regretted showing me the music video because all I ever talked about since that day was McFly😂

I was a huge fan of Busted when I was younger, and I remember my mum telling me that she saw another band who were identical to them so I was excited to hear them. Some time later we were browsing the music channels and five colours came on and my mum turned to me and said ‘oh Louise, this is the band I told you about.’ And I fell in love ❤️
When busted split up I turned to McFly and spent a majority of my teens obsessing. 😂

Mine is watching their first performance on CD:UK! I was watching it to see Busted but then James introduced Mcfly and I loved them!

I was massive Busted fans so remember seeing them on CDUK when I tuned in to watch Busted and becoming hooked! Then i remember going into town in the Easter Holidays to go and buy the 5 Colours CD single and then ROTTF came out when I was on holiday with my family so i forced my parents to constantly play it in the car (they weren't too happy about that....my mum in particular couldn't stand Broccoli as she thought it was a ridiculous song title!)

I remember gate hanging at Nottingham arena, and giving Dougle a birthday card. Later on seeing pictures from meeting them online and seeing my card in Dougies back pocket. I know I put my number in there... wondered if he ever thought about calling it for a laugh - hahaa!

I remember my dad introducing them to me haha! We went to go see them switch on the Christmas lights in Leeds that's the first thing I remember about them

I remember being one of those fans who waited outside GMTV / CD:UK for most of the time they were performing on there to try and meet them. Which I did. A few times. 🥰 - How I’d love to do that again!

My fist memory (I think) was when a friend had been to see Busted and McFly were the support, I'd not heard of them before, but soon after, I heard their music on the radio and was hooked. I can't even remember how old I was. I'm 28 now and I can't imagine my life without McFly in it. Their music really has carried me through some bloody rough times.

My very first memory was when they were Busted's support act way back when.
My best memory, has to be when Danny & Harry played in a charity football match in my hometown, when me and my husband met them afterwards, my husband found it hilarious to tell them both I'd been waiting many many years to meet them 🤦‍♀️

My first memory was just after the Busted break up announcement on the news (I think), they showed a clip of the 5 Colours music video and said "here's your new favourite band" and at the time I was thinking no way because I was sad about Busted. I think I listened to the song properly after that and I loved them!

First memory: Me and a friend used to watch totps coz of busted and then mcfly appeared on it. plenty of sleepovers, chocolate and mcfly (&busted & v).
Best memory: when they recorded in a studio in Belgium, suddenly the gates opened and they played an accoustic set. 2 days later they designed my tattoo <3

First memory is find about them through busted. Joined their street team before they released any music. I was 14 I think?

I got flyers from them that I would hand out to promote them. We had our own forum much like this.
